What are Bundles?

Widget bundles are sets of small web based software applications (widgets) supporting specific learning tasks and allowing training of particular skills with multiple tools. Widgets within a bundle interact with each other sharing and storing user data and, thus, supporting sequences of interrelated learning activities. Learning widget bundles may support, e.g.:

  • content search, storage, organisation, and sharing
  • creation and manipulation of learning content
  • various training and testing activities
  • collaborative learning activities
  • planning, evaluation, and reflection processes
  • collaborative knowledge management

As an example, to build up foreign language vocabulary, a learner can use a widget bundle consisting of media reader allowing picking up unknown items while reading a text, translator widget, and vocabulary trainer organising new items (together with context and translation imported from other two widgets) in vocabulary lists and offering simple tasks to learn new expressions.

Add a New Bundle

Here you can add a new Bundle to the Widget Store. A bundle consists of tools which were already added to the store. To submit a bundle you must have been registered at the store. You can get an account here. After you submitted a bundle a member of the ROLE consortium will review your tool and either publish it or contact you because of possible improvement. You can see the status of the bundle at the My Store page.
